Walking in Jersey Video

Walking in Jersey Video

A short video from Walks Around Britain about our guided walks in Jersey to Seymour Tower and “Moonwalks” on the seabed.

I look forward to seeing the full version.

Look closely at 0.50 and how the gaps in the rocks look like a cut path. We suspect this was made to enable carts to gather seaweed or Vraic in Jersey. The track is about the right width of a Vraicing cart.

In the past Vraicing (or seaweed gathering) was an important task and the cut  Vraic was used as fertilizer on the land.
